Terms

Plain English version of the boring legal bit.

This is my consulting site. I don't sell anything through it. You don't have an account, and you're not signing up to anything by reading. There are still a few things worth saying out loud.

Who runs this site

The site is operated by PNB Technologies Limited, a company registered in England & Wales. Registered office: 55 Yew Tree Road, Ormskirk, Lancashire, L39 1NT. Company number 07166600.

When I say "I" or "me" below, I mean the company. When I say "you", I mean you, the person reading.

What you can do with the content

Read it. Quote it with attribution. Send a link to a colleague. If you want to republish more than a short quote, ask first.

What this site isn't

The site has my views and experience as someone who builds data systems for UK organisations. It isn't legal, financial, or compliance advice. If you're making a decision that needs that kind of advice, get it from someone qualified.

I do my best to keep what's here accurate, but I don't promise the site will always be available, error-free, or up to date.

Links to other sites

I link out to other sites where it's useful. I don't run those sites and can't vouch for what's on them.

If something goes wrong

I'm not liable for any loss or damage that comes from your use of this site, except where the law says liability can't be excluded. That mainly means death or personal injury caused by negligence, and fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England & Wales.

Changes

I'll update these terms when I need to. The date at the top tells you when I last did.

Get in touch

Tell me who you are and what your organisation does. If any of this sounds like your situation, that's a good place to start. I'll let you know honestly whether I can help. Even a 30 to 45 minute call often leaves people with a clearer picture of the path forward, whether or not we end up working together. From there it's whatever fits: sometimes you don't need me, sometimes a short piece of scoping work makes sense first, and sometimes you already know what you want and we get straight to the build. There's no set process you have to follow.

For context: I work mainly with UK charities and non profits, with chief executives, operations and finance directors, programme leads, and the people who look after data and IT. Respectfully, I don't work with recruitment or development agencies.
