ImageAPI Optimize WebP
The module serves image responses with a public cache header for all file schemes other than the private file system. Anyone with no login could view cached versions of files with information they should not be able to access. They could not alter any files.
- Who could do thisAnyone visiting the site. No login needed.
- Does it apply to youThe site must serve image derivatives from a custom or temporary file scheme with access control behind a shared cache that honours the cache control header, and an attacker must know the path of a previously requested file still in cache.
- Has it been used in attacksNo sign of it.
- How urgentDrupal rates this moderately critical. Include it in your next routine update, within the month.

For developers: what the fix changed
The fix updates the ImageStyleDownloadController to only mark responses as publicly cacheable if the file scheme is public or explicitly configured as an additional public scheme in settings.
